Personal Introduction (30%)

Personal Introduction counts for 30% of your final scolarship competition score! During this competition, you will be learning how to speak effectively into a microphone and how to confidently and professionally present yourself on stage. You will take home the lifelong skill of introducing yourself, diplomacy and speaking onstage to a large audience. Wear your best businness casual attire to represent your personal style.

Contestants will introduce themselves on stage, saying their name, hometown, where they see themselves in the future or something interesting about themselves. The contestant will have 30 seconds to effectively communicate this information. There is no penalty for going over, however the microphone will be turned off and you will not be able to complete your presentation. It will be important to learn the skill of time management by rehearsing your introduction to meet the time requirement.
